Wastewater Management

We have a wastewater treatment plant with a production capacity of 50 million litres per day (MLD), which is built and operated by Puresino (Guanghan) Water Co., Ltd. in Guanghan City, Sichuan province, under a “Build–Operate–Transfer” (BOT) long-term contract.

We also have three wastewater treatment plants with a total production capacity of 375 MLD under a “Transfer–Operate—Transfer” (TOT) privatisation project in Yinchuan City, Ningxia province. The long-term concession agreement requires us to upgrade and expand the wastewater treatment facilities to achieve higher wastewater discharge standards, as well as to increase our designed treatment capacities. The discharge standards for all three wastewater treatment plants have been upgraded to Class 1A, and one of the wastewater treatment plants has an expansion equipped with a membrane bioreactor (MBR) facility of 100 MLD, where the discharge standard is Quasi Surface Water Standard Class IV.

The company that operates and manages these wastewater treatment plants including the recycled water treatment plant is Taliworks (Yinchuan) Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of TIL Enviro Limited, a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
